Emboidery Project: For Fun

I have chosen to concentrate on the category ‘For Fun’ in order to create a series of samples inspired by juggling balls and pin-wheels. The general aesthetic will be a busy and bold display of pattern, colour and 3D motifs.

I have incorporated movement into the project by use of servos and LDRs over vac-formed objects, to evoke the sense of play and eccentricity [below].

Tailored to Interiors

Tailored Interiors is the concept of this project; the motivation being the skills and processes of tailoring to be incorporated into products for interiors such as blinds and wall textiles. Inspired by the classic cuts and chic aesthetic of men’s tailored suits, I set about to focus on lapels and collars and how they are made in order to reproduce these shapes as they are: in alternative ways or as abstracted forms.
